We’re Zach and Mackenzie – a couple of Texans who love to travel the world.
We enjoy going abroad to learn about other cultures and end up learning a lot about ourselves in the process.
In the summer of 2010, we spent 2.5 months backpacking around Europe. Our blog began as a humble diary of that trip and has grown into much more as we’ve continued to explore.
In July 2014, we moved to South Korea to live and work for a year. We were based in the city of Goyang, northwest of Seoul. It was a great adventure and provided us with a lot of perspective about our place in the world.
In August 2015, we moved to Marfa, Texas, to start a new chapter in the Chihuahuan Desert. We enjoyed exploring a region of Texas often untouched by many tourists. But in June 2016, we moved again, this time to Salt Lake City, Utah. We look forward to a new adventure in the Intermountain West and will continue to post about our expeditions.
We have a dachshund, Truman, who welcomes us back from our journeys and keeps us company when we’re at home. He’s also quite the traveller and can include parts of Texas, South Korea, New Mexico, Utah, and Idaho as his conquests.
We hope you enjoy reading about our adventures!
