For the past couple of weeks we’ve been in limbo. We returned from Korea and hopped around Texas visiting our family and friends. We visited with Zach’s family in East Texas first and spent some time on his family land. It was a nice opportunity for us to relax and unwind from our hectic final days in Korea.
We also went to a hot air balloon festival in Longview – The Great Texas Balloon Race. On Friday and Saturday nights they have a balloon glow where the hot air balloons are lit up for the public. We could walk among the balloons as the massive flames were blown to lit them up. It was really cool!
Next we drove down to Austin to visit my family and all of our friends. We ate a lot of great food – maybe too much – before heading back to East Texas.
Back from Austin and ready to stop living out of bags, we packed up our Uhaul and set out for Marfa. We decided to do the whole drive in one day… 16 hours later we were at our new home! It has been really wonderful to unpack and have all of our things available again. We’re still getting adjusted but I think we’re really going to like it here.
